In short
What is Etylene Oxide sterilization ?
Ethylene oxide sterilization is a sterilization method commonly used in the medical and pharmaceutical industries to eliminate micro-organisms from heat- and moisture-sensitive medical materials and devices.
The technique involves exposing the objects to be sterilized to ethylene oxide, a colorless, highly reactive gas which penetrates materials to reach hard-to-reach surfaces, destroying micro-organisms.
